Hosting Engineer

• The TSS team is responsible for the Technical Support of customer Managed Hosting solutions and platforms on a pan-European footprint.
• Manages and maintain all Hosting shared and dedicated platforms supporting customers and the business activity.
• Manages one of the largest cloud platforms in the world with more than 10 locations spread through 3 continents.
• The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective support and maintenance of high-quality Hosting services to external and internal customers.


Job Responsibilities:

• Support of Customer solutions and Shared Interoute platforms as defined by Hosting Engineering and ECS.
• Systems patching of Customer and Interoute platforms.
• Backup management on customer and Interoute platforms.
• Manage and maintain Virtual platforms (shared and Dedicated Virtual Hosting).
• Manage and Maintain Storage systems (shared and dedicated)
• Testing of proposed changes on customer Hosting solutions and subsequent implementation of changes (changes ranging from new servers or services to OS upgrades etc.) in cooperation with Implementation Account Managers and the customer.
• Technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, Project Management and In-Country Datacentre teams for issues related to Hosting service design, implementation, test and delivery of customer solutions.
• Prompt identification of issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality.
• Pro-active diagnoses and fix of technical issues arising during provision of, and changes to, complex Hosting solutions.
• Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality. Creation of contingency plans to minimise such risks.
• Work in cooperation with other engineering teams deploying and developing new customer and Interoute platforms.
• Production of quality documentation to reflect changes to solutions.


Experience Required:

• Experience of deploying, configuring and managing Physical and virtual Operations Systems.
• Experience on clustered environments.
• certification is a distinct advantage.
• Scripting and automation experience is advantageous.
• Virtualisation knowledge (VMware and KVM).
• Experience deploying/managing Cloud infrastructures is a distinctive advantage.
• Awareness on Microsoft technologies and integration.
• Backup platforms awareness (Symantec Netbackup) is a plus.
• Proficiency on storage technologies (NetApp in particular) is a plus.
• Awareness of Hosting Solution components (Firewalls, Server Hardware etc.)
• Experienced with ITIL framework.
• General knowledge of telecom and Hosting industry and standards.

NMS Engineer

TEAM DESCRIPTION
NMS and Technical Systems Team. Responsible to the development and management of Interoute network management systems, including monitoring, inventory, access and all management systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN DUTIES
•    Problem Management/Incident Management of all NMS related issues
•    Adhere to Change Control, Change Log, and Downtime Log procedures for all critical services
•    Deliver a roadmap of planned systems development and change in line with business requirements
•    Budget and plan systems changes and upgrades in line with systems lifecycle
•    Technical capacity planning and management of all NMS systems in line with business growth and technical requirements
•    Create & maintain a set of processes & procedures to ensure best practice is employed in the support of these solutions


KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
•    University degree, preferably engineering/computer sciences or mathematics

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
•    Previous Telco OSS/NMS and Network experience.  Must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge.
•    3 years of Advanced UNIX/LINUX System Administration (Solaris, RHE, HPUX)
•    Hands-on experience with monitoring and network management systems, such as:
    Monitoring Systems (EMC Smarts)
    Inventory Systems
    Network Reporting Systems (EMC Watch4Net)
    Cramer
•    Able to work within tight time-scales and manage priorities as required
•    Database development skills, MySQL / SqlServer
•    Good written and verbal communications skills in English
•    Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience of supporting business critical applications in a 24*7 environment.

Delam spis klasicke konfigurace - navrhy a realizace custom wf, vytvarim cf pole, obrazovky a ostatni schemata ze kt.se skladaji jira projekty. Globalni nastavovani co se delaji na serveru dela aplikacni gestor. Ale sef dnes rikal, ze nechteji analytika jen na jiru a confluence, ale i na logmana a dalsi aplikace, tak uplne nevim, jakou maji strategii s tou mou nahradou. Bude to chtit se tam ozvat a zjistit si to. Penize netusim jak to je ted, ja mam ty same co jsem mela pri nastupu pred osmi lety - teprve loni jsem si zadala o zvyseni a nedostala ho, kolega jo, ted uz mi asi nepridaj...
